Dear Friends,

I have great joy in presenting the Pastoral Training Institute for your prayerful consideration. I had dreamt of such a Training School for a number of years … pastors need to be trained in a focused training that would prepare them to shepherd churches using the exposition of the Bible as the primary way to "equip the saints for the work of ministry" (Eph 4:11).

The Pastoral Training Institute is a Seminary and offers a 3-years M. Div. Degree. It has been doing this since July 2002 and is closely associated with Grace to India . P.T.I. has three professors trained at The Master’s Seminary on campus. Visiting teachers from Grace Community Church and The Master's Seminary both of which are led by Pastor John MacArthur also teach various modules.

To keep Pastoral Training Institute local church centred we have endeavoured to keep a strong relationship with two local churches in Pune. All students of PTI are required to attend and participate in these two local churches so that the academic training they receive is further honed in the context of actual ministry in a local church. For administrative purposes PTI is affiliated to both Love Maharashtra in Pune and to The Master’s Academy International in California.

If you are interested in a training that will prepare you to be an effective pastor of a local church – an existing one or a new church that God will enable you to plant – this is the Seminary for you.
